Jerry has been a Florida resident for 23 years but grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin where he developed an interest in racquet sports at an early age. He played ping pong in grade school, paddleball in high school, and then played and taught racquetball for more than 20 years. Ten years of indoor handball and a little tennis added to the mix and made it easy for Jerry to transition to Pickleball, now his primary sport. Using his skills to teach both beginners and intermediates to play the game well is his passion. He enjoys a great sense of accomplishment when his students improve and begin to love Pickleball as much as he does. Marvel of medical science!
Tami, a full time Naples resident, has been playing Pickleball since 2011.
Originally introduced to the sport in Sun City West, Arizona, Tami began playing as a form of rehab at Lakewood Country Club of Naples after a “simple” foot surgery left her immobile. Always active in sports and fitness, she attributes Pickleball to helping get back not only her life post surgery, but giving her a renewed athletic appetite.
Growing up in Strongsville, Ohio, Tami studied dance, and was a competitive baton twirler, as well as an avid tennis player. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and lived in Nagoya, Japan for 8 years where she studied Japanese and Japanese dance, achieving Natori status in that traditional art form.
Tami also competes in Pickleball tournaments and has medals, of all colors, in Mixed doubles, Doubles and most recently Singles.
When not teaching or playing Pickleball, she is the Chief Creative Director of her company, ‘Bling! My Apron by Tami’. INSURED
